SDR Ventures Advises Miller & Associates and Dedo Interactive on Acquisitions by Precocity

SDR Ventures, a nationally recognized investment bank for privately held businesses, is pleased to announce that M. Miller & Associates, LLC (“Miller & Associates”) and Dedo Interactive, Inc. (“Dedo Interactive”) have both been acquired by Precocity, LLC (“Precocity”). SDR served as the exclusive sell-side advisor to both Miller & Associates and Dedo Interactive throughout the transaction process.

Based in Dallas, Miller & Associates is an enterprise software solutions company and leader in Big Data, business intelligence, technical consulting, customized software-development services and data warehousing and analytics. Founded in 2002 by Mark Miller, a leading data warehouse architect formerly with EDS and Deloitte & Touche, and joined subsequently by Randy Barker to lead business development and operations efforts, Miller & Associates has gone on to achieve many honors. The company was ranked as one of the Top 100 Fastest Growing Private IT Services Companies in America by Inc. Magazine and recently earned honors as Technology Partner of the Year for Neiman Marcus. Miller & Associates’ diverse list of clients includes American Airlines, Adobe, HP, Neiman Marcus, Pizza Hut, Fannie Mae, Texas Instruments and Verizon.

“Our world-class team of technologists, creatives and support personnel has helped us to put Miller & Associates on a phenomenal trajectory in the enterprise software solutions community,” said CEO Mark Miller. “From the outset we put a focus on creating strong partnerships with both clients and employees. The resources and shared vision that Precocity brings to this partnership will undoubtedly accelerate our growth and expand our reach. Our partnership with Precocity will take our clients and employees to the next level.”

Based in Dallas, Dedo Interactive is a creative technology firm with expertise in user experience and user interface (“UX/UI”), multi-touch, data visualization and mobile technologies. Dedo Interactive utilizes animations, interactive data and immersive technology to create dynamic solutions. The company is a pioneer in touch and gesture technologies and one of the only UX/UI technology teams that has bridged enterprise solutions with complex 3D gaming engines. Founded in 2009 by Randy Barker, Danny Dura and Mark Miller, Dedo Interactive has built a strong and loyal client base that includes Proctor & Gamble, DFW International Airport, Intuit, Hugo Boss, the Center for BrainHealth and Deloitte.

Newly formed Precocity, LLC will bring together Miller & Associates’ and Dedo Interactive’s offerings under one brand. Precocity CEO and Founder Barry Farah will augment the foundation built by Barker, Dura and Miller with his successful entrepreneurial background that includes 13 years as Chairman and majority owner of Master Solutions, LLC (“MSL”), a provider of full lifecycle software engineering, systems engineering and enterprise architecture services and solutions, now a subsidiary of SGT, Inc.

“Our acquisition of Miller & Associates and Dedo Interactive positions Precocity to deepen its current client relationships and prepares us for rapid development and growth in the coming years,” said Farah. “We plan to maintain the entrepreneurial client-centric culture, while concurrently bringing our financial resources and scale to the service offerings. Ultimately, the client and our consultants win – and that makes it a winner for us.”

“This transaction represented a perfect strategic fit for all three companies, and we feel it’s a great success for the ownership parties, employees and customers.” remarked SDR Ventures’ Managing Director Travis Conway. “We watched Miller & Associates and Dedo Interactive take off over the past few years and we know Precocity will continue this success going forward. SDR has been focused on the technology industry for several years, and this transaction presented a great opportunity to utilize our expertise.”
