According to a recent Inc.com article by Curtis Kroeker, small business transactions have experienced a sharp rise over the past year. BuyBizSell recently reported that transactions rose 61 percent in the second quarter of 2013 over the same period last year.
Kroeker credits much of the increase to a recovering economy. Small businesses are improving, making them more attractive to prospective buyers. And with increasing confidence in the economy, buyers are more willing to invest in growth through acquisitions.
For entrepreneurs who have been interested in selling, the market is certainly expanding with opportunity.
