“What’s the next chapter of my life and when will it begin?”
It’s a difficult question for anyone, especially a business owner caught up in the busy — sometimes frantic — day-to-day pace of running their company.
Not tough enough? Here are a few more:
- Can you take a three-week vacation and never check your phone for business-related messages?
- What do you plan to do on the first day after you retire?
- Have you ever discussed that next chapter of your life with your spouse, significant other, family or employees?
If these questions have you scratching your head looking for answers, you’re not alone. Many business owners don’t think about “what’s next” because of their busy lives. Thinking about “what’s next” was the subject of a Denver Business Journal Table of Experts panel discussion, “Selling your business.”
The forum was sponsored and hosted by UMB Bank in downtown Denver. The Table of Experts included:
Daniel Weeks – Vice President and Senior Financial Planner at UMB Bank
Caleb Hester – Vice President of Commercial Banking at UMB Bank
Chris Bouck – Principal at SDR Ventures
Scott Greiner – Tax Attorney at Moye White
