Qualifications

Matt Huebner joined the senior leadership team at SDR Ventures in 2026, bringing more than 20 years of experience in investment banking and strategic consulting. He works closely with founders, owners, and executive teams on corporate finance and strategic initiatives, with a consistent focus on driving long-term shareholder value. At SDR Ventures, Matt leads business development efforts and advises clients on capital raises, sell-side and buy-side M&A transactions, and broader strategic advisory engagements. He holds Series 7, 63, and 79 securities licenses.

Experience

Prior to partnering with SDR Ventures, Matt co-founded OnRamp Advisors, where he advised early- and growth-stage companies on strategic initiatives and supported them in raising growth capital. Earlier in his career, Matt began as an investment banking analyst at Headwaters MB, which later merged with Capstone Partners. He ultimately built and led Capstone’s private placement desk, working extensively with emerging and growth-stage businesses on capital raises and strategic advisory initiatives. Across his career, Matt has worked on over 50 transactions spanning multiple industries, with experience in both domestic and cross-border engagements. His transaction expertise includes capital raises, strategic advisory and consulting assignments, business valuations, and sell-side and buy-side M&A transactions.

Education

Matt holds a Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Business Institutions from Northwestern University. He was a member of the Northwestern varsity wrestling team and remains a proud Wildcat.

Interests

A self-described “half Colorado native,” Matt lives in Denver, Colorado. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his children, playing pickleball and golf, skiing, and being active volunteering at his church.
